Human Resource Director
Established Health Care Center in Philadelphia, PA
Quality Community Health Center ,a FQHC operating for 41 years, provides service at 3 locations in Philadelphia, PA managing the health and wellness of patients from infants through senior citizens . We practice medicine as a partnership between us and our patients. Currently, we are seeking a full-time Human Resource Director. The Director of Human Resources reports to the CEO and acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership on a variety of issues, including leadership development, talent management, policy development and compliance . The Director of Human Resources must communicate effectively, foster respect, trust, and collaboration among team members, and act creatively to respond to a constantly changing Human Resource environment.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- The HR Director provides leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource functions, including talent management, knowledge of credentialing and clearances, employee benefits and compensation, employee relations, wage and hour (FLSA), ADA and FMLA legal compliance, workers compensation and unemployment administration, employee and supervisory training and development, performance management and payroll support.
- Serve as primary contact for employment attorneys and Human Resources related government agencies; manage relationships with benefit brokers, obtaining and providing competitive and cost effective employee benefits plans and programs; ensure benefit plan orientations and training
- Manage new hire orientation and onboarding, Staff Recruitment, Hiring, compensation & benefits design/administration ,staff engagement, performance management, and training
- Provide counsel and leadership to develop training programs that align with organizational strategy and needs. Lead development of organizational training plan, acquire or create content where appropriate, deliver internal trainings, and monitor/evaluate success
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices in workforce development and change management. Assesses organizational need and recommends staff development for the organization
- Implementation of best practices and experience in building inclusive and engaged workplaces; cultural awareness and sensitivity with lens on racial and gender equity
- Assist with investigating a variety of employee-related issues, incidents and complaints, and resolve disputes by recommending appropriate remedial actions. Where applicable, conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Ability to deal with conflict effectively and to manage difficult employee relations situations confidently and calmly. Proven influencer and demonstrated ability to coach and counsel both executive-level management and employees in sensitive situations
- Conduct employee exit surveys and interviews, track trends, and make recommendations to leadership. Provide coaching and recommendations to management and leadership teams on employee relations and performance management issues.
- Promote employee engagement through regular, personal contact resulting in a positive employee relations atmosphere as well as organize employee engagement events throughout the year.
- Provide management oversight of the Safety Committee. Support administration with maintaining and reporting on workplace health, safety compliance and leading the Safety Committee.
- Assist with compensation strategy and market competitive compensation program, including merit planning, variable compensation strategies, trend analysis, and executive compensation. Provides input on department restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Serve as staff liaison to the Board of Directors’ Human Resource Committee in its governance of key Human Resource issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar areas; Master’s degree in Human Resources preferred
- Prior experience leading an HR function in a non-profit, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience as HR Generalist with a record of progressive advancement. Extensive exposure to benefit administration, employee relations, talent and performance management, recruitment, HRIS, and training and development; At least three years’ experience as HR Director supervising one or more employees
- Professional certification through SHRM or HRCI preferred

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
