Job Description
The Business Program is housed in the School of Business and Leadership and has nationally accredited programs by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The department invites a Visiting Assistant Professor or Professor of Practice in Finance and Business Analytics to support the BBA and Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Business Analytics to begin in the fall of 2024. Ideal candidates should be innovative, possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate the capacity to enhance our programs, have an excellent record of teaching and scholarship, and have industry experience.
The candidate may teach a variety of courses in the day/weekend programs, online, remote learning, hybrid, and fast-track classes. - Graduate courses in finance and business analytics
Job Requirements:
Required:
- Candidates must be academically qualified and hold a terminal (doctorate) degree in Finance or a related discipline, preferably from an AACSB-accredited business school.
- or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 hours of graduate finance courses, 18 graduate hours in business analytics or related discipline, industry experience, and a certification (CFA, CMB, FRM).
- Teaching experience at the graduate college level is required.
- ABDs with an expected graduation date before August 2024 are encouraged to apply.
Preferred:
- Qualified to teach graduate business analytics and finance courses
- Ability to teach other disciplines, such as Accounting and Economics
- Teaching experience in different modalities
- Teaching experience in a diverse student environment
- Familiarity with case and project-based and experiential learning methodologies
- Licenses or certifications such as CFA, CMB, or FRM are highly desirable
- FINRA Series Exams
- Industry Experience
- Experience in data-driven or empirical research in data analytics or quantitative fields such as Operations Research or statistics.
