Job Description

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Digital Content and Communications Associate to enhance our online presence and share our journey as we embark on new and exciting chapters. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to create unique and organic content, assist in launching and analyzing fundraising campaigns, and ensure that our staff and supporters are consistently informed of developments on a weekly and/or monthly basis.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Development to generate fresh, innovative ideas for both print and digital media. Responsibilities include updating content on our website, social media channels, email communications, direct mail, and materials related to fundraising campaigns and other events as needed. It is important to embrace Front Steps’ mission, vision, and current direction, and create media that adheres to our brand guidelines. The role requires excellent writing and proofreading skills, with proficiency in photography, video production, or editing being a significant advantage. Additionally, you will create and manage a content calendar and task list, demonstrating strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Essential functions include content creation for our digital sites, email and fundraising campaigns, blogs, and public relations opportunities for or about Front Steps’ activities and accomplishments via various media platforms and outlets. This role requires researching our organization, mission, and vision to educate, assist, and inform our supporters and prospective supporters regarding Front Steps’ actions and progress. The candidate should be able to appreciate and comprehend analytics, with an emphasis on recognizing successful strategies and identifying areas for improvement. Ideally, we are looking for a professional seeking an opportunity to be creative, work collaboratively with others, and showcase their talents while producing impactful results.

Job Requirement

· Position requires you to be in office 5 days a week, no exceptions.

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate and experience in digital media platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, digital media, or a related field strongly preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design, video editing, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience with search engine optimization is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and tools to measure results.
  • Experience or comprehensive understanding of the non-profit environment is a plus.
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,269.00 - $50,000.00 per year
