Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid Systems will support the Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems in all functions within the Office of Financial Aid. The Assistant Director will serve as principal liaison to the United States Department of Education for Electronic Data Exchange and to the Regis University Information Technology Services (ITS) department for the financial aid module of Colleague.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential
- Serve as administrator of the financial aid module in Ellucian's Colleague Integrated Student System by maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the system and its functionality. Ensure that automated systems support compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies. This includes responsibility for annual setup and data and process integrity. Develop procedures to maximize the functionality of the system. Responsible for the quality control of data and output from the Colleague system. Monitor all phases of automated systems to ensure accurate and timely operation and functioning. Test system software updates as needed. Troubleshoot errors and perform systematic edit checks on critical components of the database. Plan for future functionality and streamline processes for students and staff. Develop, review, and revise documentation on internal and external systems, financial aid procedures, programs, etc.
- Responsible for communications management, including automated outgoing emails, letters, and texts. Serve as the liaison to MarCom for all financial aid campaigns. Serve as the point of contact for website updates.
- Responsible for federal grants and the College Opportunity Fund (COF) reporting and reconciliation. Manage Colorado Residency determination processes.
- Responsible for the upload of work-study earnings to Colleague. Maintain a report for earnings averages and aggregate information on student employment.
- Serve as liaison with the US Department of Education for Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) processing functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Directors, Directors, or Senior Vice President as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Preferred Experience:
- At least two years of experience in an office of higher education, preferably with expertise in maintaining financial aid systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
This position requires occasional weekend and/or evening work. This position may travel when necessary for conferences or events critical to continued education in support of the Office of Financial Aid.
