Full job description
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists the Associate Dean in oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Campus Center(s). Responsible for scheduling staff and facility use for specified location(s). Assists the associate dean in management of specified center(s) including building maintenance, safety and security, and all information technology systems both in the classrooms and in the support offices. Responsible for hiring and supervision of professional and clerical staff, proctors, professional tutors, peer tutors, and work study students at specified location(s). Assists the Associate Dean in managing the credit and noncredit programs including course scheduling and faculty assignments. Assists the Associate Dean with marketing initiatives. Assists the Associate Dean with speaking engagements to schools, agencies and community groups to highlight specified campus centers and their programs and services. Assists the Associate Dean in developing annual goals, detailed plans for achievement and progress reports in support of the strategic plan.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the day-to-day operational activities and general facility usage in specified location(s).
Manages the staff coverage and room schedules for specified location(s).
Participates in the hiring process for staff and faculty openings.
Supervises and evaluates all assigned professional and clerical staff, proctors, professional tutors, peer tutors, and work studies at specified location(s).
Assists Associate Dean in the development and execution of the credit and noncredit course schedules.
May advise students and assist campus center staff with overseeing advisement activities.
Manages the safety and security procedures at specified location(s), training and equipment procurement and repair at specified locations.
Coordinates with janitorial contractors for cleaning services.
Ensures classrooms are fully operational in terms of equipment, technology and supplies.
Coordinates the ongoing professional development of campus center staff; assists Associate Dean in facilitating faculty professional development.
Manages student code of conduct issues and referrals to Batavia for appropriate student support services.
Assists campus center staff with oversight of Student Activities.
Assists Associate Dean with all college reporting requirements in support of the strategic plan.
Assists Associate Dean with campus based marketing activities.
Assists in representing the college to school districts, businesses, and agencies in support of academic programs, community outreach, and economic development.
Responsible for complying with all college policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Master's Degree and three years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree and seven years of experience is required.
Experience
Minimum of three years (or seven with a Bachelor's) higher education experience required; Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in student services or a related field. Recruitment and advisement related activities at a community college is preferred. Experience working at a campus center/satellite campus is highly desired. Proficiency with Banner skills is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work independently and effectively with students and all other constituents at the campus centers and at the Batavia campus. Familiarity with computers (word processing, spreadsheets, relational databases, network systems) and excellent communication skills. Working knowledge in staff supervision and academic operations are preferred. Preference will be given to those with community college operations experience. Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. This position requires work at multiple campus center locations.

Additional Information:
RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Associate Dean of Campus Centers. Reporting to this position: assigned campus center Technical Assistants (TA) and Secretary; proctors, professional tutors, peer tutors, work study students; as assigned.
SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full time, year-round position at 35 hours per week and in compensated at a rate of $60,461.29 annually. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Salary, benefits, and conditions of employment are as set by the GEA contract.
