Join Scripps Health as an Education Program Manager (EPM) - RN, also known as Nurse Educator, within our Center for Learning and Innovation. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Learning Manager RN and in close collaboration with the Center for Learning and Innovation team to identify knowledge gaps, design and develop curriculum, and deliver system-wide training for the assigned service line.
As an EPM RN, you will serve as a key liaison between facilities and leadership, proactively assessing and addressing learning needs to improve performance and achieve quality outcomes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring effective communication across the system, focusing on reducing variation, and ensuring the consistent application of learning principles and processes.
This role also involves continuous assessment of competencies and learning needs to drive quality outcomes. You will provide educational support for skills training, new hire orientation, transition programs, survey readiness, and informational resources, while also assisting with additional training initiatives as identified by the Scripps system.
Required Education, Experience, and Specialized Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Three to five years of progressive educational experience within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in computer technology and relevant applications for the role.
- Strong understanding of current theoretical approaches, strategies, and concepts related to patient care delivery across acute care and ambulatory patient populations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in team development, strategic planning, and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise authority and responsibility for assigned services, in alignment with organizational scope and the complexity of patient care.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current, active California RN license or certifications specific to the discipline.
Preferred Education, Experience, Specialized Skills, and Certification:
- Acute care Medical Surgical RN experience preferred.
- Master's degree strongly preferred.
