The Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) is seeking an experienced professional to lead the implementation of the WNCStrong Youth Service Corp Program that is a USDA Rapid Response Project to support youth and Hurricane recovery efforts in Western North Carolina. This position will be an integral part of the Agricultural Education Team at the Center for Environmental Farming Systems. This position will lead all aspects of the implementation of the WNCStrong Youth Service Corp, including teacher recruitment, training, and support, youth recruitment, support and developing professional development programs, as well as helping identify and support with the youth internships and service days. Applicants must live in western North Carolina (county impacted by Hurricane Helene).
Duties related to the implementation of the WNCStrong Youth Service Corp include:
- Leading teacher recruitment and engagement
- Leading youth recruitment and engagement activities,
- Leading youth orientation and career/professional development programming
- Organizing and supporting monthly disaster recovery service projects
- Providing social connectivity and mental health resources as needed to program participants
- Implementing program evaluation components as needed

Minimum Experience/Education
- MS degree and at least 10 years experience working with high school students, youth or community college students in Western North Carolina.
