INTERNSHIP - BIOVIA Quality Engineer

Job Description

Role Description & Responsibilities

As a Software Quality Engineer Intern with BIOVIA R&D Quality team you will work with leading edge automation tools inside of our enterprise environment with our cloud-first approach to reduce our turnaround time for software validation tests, enabling greater value delivery to customers.

We will mentor you in real-world life science software development and multi-threaded distributed software test automation tools.

The BIOVIA R&D Quality team works closely with the Development team to plan, test, and release world-class cloud and on-premise software solutions.

* Improve the automation of our release and deployment process towards the goal of Continuous Delivery across the BIOVIA product suite

* Communicate and collaborate among cross-functional teams in a multinational environment

* Work in a fast-paced and challenging environment

Qualifications

* Actively enrolled in a program at a college or university for the duration of the internship

* Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0

* Ability to shift directions quickly when priorities change

* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing

* Ability to work onsite for the duration of the internship

* Understanding of the software development process

* Experience with Java or Groovy

* Windows or Linux operating system administration a plus

* Willingness to learn new technology products to support the job

* Team Player

* Strong communication skills

* Excellent time management

* Highly motivated

* Attention to detail

This paid internship is on-site at our San Diego, CA office with a flexible start date. You will be expected to follow a hybrid work model.

Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $22 and $40 per hour.
