Position Overview:

As an HR Generalist/HR Business Partner, you will support daily HR operations and provide strategic consultation to business leaders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both tactical and strategic HR functions, balancing day-to-day administrative HR tasks with longer-term business partnership responsibilities. You will operate within a hybrid work model, spending part of your time on-site and part remote.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

HR Generalist Duties:

  • Oversee employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Administer benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement plans.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide HR support for general issues and concerns.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS systems.
  • Collaborate with leadership on employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives.

 

HR Business Partner Duties:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to department heads and business leaders, providing HR guidance on key business decisions.
  • Develop and implement talent strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Partner with leadership on organizational development initiatives, including change management and team performance improvement.
  • Support cultural development initiatives and champion a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Analyze HR data and trends to drive strategic decisions and improve business outcomes.
  • Advise on complex employee relations issues and lead investigations when necessary.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, with at least 2 years in an HRBP or strategic HR role.
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, EEO).
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leadership on HR-related matters.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and other HR technologies.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
  • Experience in non-profit and /or education.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change initiatives.
