The primary purpose of the position includes, but is not limited to:
The Executive Assistant will support the office in the Chair of the Department of Medicine, the largest department in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina. This position joins one to two other executive assistants to provide support to the central department of medicine office senior leadership including the Chair of the department and five vice chairs. There is a high degree of teamwork, and while each member has defined roles, in order to support a hybrid work environment, duties overlap and the individuals coordinate well.
This individual will initially focus on support for the Chair, which involves heavy calendaring and communication with administrative leaders throughout the organization. Jenga expertise is a plus! Scheduling includes urgent shuffling of appointments, establishing long term recurring meetings, maintaining relevant materials in an organized fashion, tracking documents for execution, correspondence, process improvement.
This position is hybrid, on site 3 days / week with some flexibility in hours, but generally 8-5.
