Job Summary

The Director of Advancement will work closely with the Executive Director, Management Team, Board of Directors, and Foundation Trustees, to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to advance Joya’s mission. The position’s primary responsibilities include planning, management, coordination, and evaluation of fundraising activities, communications, marketing, media, and community relations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Executive Director to create and implement strategic goals, vision, and budget for the advancement of Joya and Joya Foundation.
- Plan and implement annual giving, fundraising campaigns, major gifts, donor stewardship and events.
- Plan and implement marketing and public relations strategies to support advancement goals including website, videos, print material, newsletters, and media.
- Provide administrative support to the Joya Foundation President, Executive Committee, and Trustees.
- Assist in recruitment of Joya Foundation trustees by networking with community members. Provide orientation and follow-up with potential Joya Foundation trustees.
- Oversee and manage the general operations of the Advancement office, maintenance, reporting and analytics of the donor database, and other activities in support of management, fundraising, marketing, and public relations.
- Participate as a member of the Management team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Supervise and evaluate all personnel on the Advancement Department, ensuring performance meets goals, timelines, and objectives.
- Make programmatic and administrative recommendations to the Executive Director in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Strong, verbal, written and listening communication skills to interact effectively.
- Proven track record of success in setting, reaching, and exceeding fundraising goals
- Organize, motivate, and lead a team to achieve established goals, objectives, and targets.
- Act in a respectful manner toward each person regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, religion, ethnicity, social or economic status, sexual orientation, health condition or disability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education, Certifications and Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, public administration, communications, or business administration or related field (Preferred)
- 5 years’ minimum experience in professional fundraising (Preferred)
- CFRE Certified (Preferred)
- Valid driver's license and vehicle with proof of insurance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $81,070.00 - $101,337.00 per year

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Weekends as needed
