Caterpillar has an open Accountant position supporting inventory accounting for Caterpillar Fuel Systems and Aftertreatment products. In this role you will manage inventory reporting and compliance at the Pontiac, IL facility.

What you will do:

• Provide inventory reporting to management including monthly results, variance analysis, and historical trends.
• Close partnership with the Logistics team to drive compliance over inventory related processes.
• Work with the product releasing team on accurate standard costing of new and updated parts.
• Financial closing activities adhering to accounting practices, policies, and procedures.

What Skills & Experiences You Will Need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
